Senior Finance Manager
based in St. Louis
Your responsibilities
- Accounting & Financial Reporting: Own the monthly close process end-to-end and oversee all reconciliations (incl. daily bank reconciliations) in SAP—covering General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Asset Accounting—driving accuracy, timeliness, and reliable financial reporting
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses to deliver clear financial projections and actionable insights for management decision-making
- Perform cost accounting analysis to inform pricing strategies, profitability management, and business optimization
- Financial Operations & Treasury: Lead FinOps initiatives, managing cash flow, working capital optimization, supplier payment strategies, and expense control
- Process & Governance: Formalize accounting records and drive continuous improvement—developing SOPs, championing automation, and embedding best practices across the finance function
- Compliance, Audit & External Relations: Serve as primary contact for external auditors, bankers, and insurance brokers, managing audits, regulatory submissions, and compliance with public company (Dutch Stock Exchange) accounting standards, incl. local tax compliance and submissions
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team (Assistant Controller/Accounting Specialist), fostering ownership and continuous learning
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including full accounting cycle management and month-end close leadership
- Proven experience supporting external audit processes and compliance in a public company environment
- Leadership experience managing small finance teams or direct reports
- Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems (GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting)
- Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, data analysis, complex formulas); experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools a plus
- Excellent analytical skills with a track record of identifying inefficiencies and driving process improvements
- High level of integrity in handling confidential/sensitive financial data
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and with external partners
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with international accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) in detail
- Background in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring AI, automation, and emerging finance technologies
