People & Culture Manager (m/f/d) 

based in St. Louis - Hazelwood MO, US

Your responsibilities

Operational personnel work  
  • Support proper and timely local payroll activities together with the external provider and manage local compensation and benefits in compliance with labour law and corporate guidelines
  • Advise Managers and employees on personnel-related issues
  • Leading of personnel evaluation meetings and conflict resolution meetings
  • Responsible for the personnel administration and supervising 
  • Support day-to-day operations and taking on administrative tasks
  • Main point of contact and support in the production facility, including regular visits during night and weekend shifts 
  • Support health and safety initiatives 
  • Maintain HR databases, manage employee records and ensure job descriptions are up-to-date
  • Contact person for external and internal auditors
  • HR Strategy
  • Driving local People & Culture Management agenda with overall responsibility including strategic and conceptual initiatives aligned with the business strategy and Group People & Culture Management 

  Recruiting & Onboarding 
  • Development of innovative recruiting and personnel development concepts
  • Conception of and participation in recruiting-events developing a more robust employer branding process together with Group People & Culture Management
  • Responsible for the implementation of recruitment measures: pre-screening of applicants, interviewing, employment contract creation and onboarding processes & maintaining the contacts to recruiters/headhunters
  • Manage local employer branding activities
 
Performance Management 
  • Support/assist the annual pay, performance cycle & support shift leader team with evaluations. 
  • Help building a sustainable company culture 
  • Steering the People Management reports, KPI’s and evaluation of People Management data
 
People & Culture Projects & Digitalization  
  • Participate in global People & Culture initiatives such as HR digitalization efforts 
  • Manage budget for local People & Culture Management 
  • Coordinate and organize Training Programs, Team-Building activities, and Events

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • Profound working experience as a Generalist (m/f/d) in People and Culture, ideally in an industrial and international environment 
  • Good knowledge of US labor laws and HR best practices
  • Understanding of project management and digital transformation in HR
  • Discreet and professional in handling confidential information
  • Independent, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and flexible
  • Strong communication and intercultural skills
  • Fluent in English - written and spoken
